This is a mixed media piece about the Castillo de Kukulkan which is a pyramid the Mayans built in Mexico. The reason behind this piece is that my art portfolio is based on Mexican culture from generalizations to specific ideas in my culture. This pyramid is a generalization of Mexican culture as a whole that I, someone who is Mexican, forget about this because there are more things that are more important and known within Mexican culture. This pyramid is what tourists think of as Mexico.
